Hi I'm Grant S. I am from California and for my Mitzvah Project I am partnering with Life Animal Shelter in Agoura Hills. If you buy a mezzuzah, you could majorly impact a dog or cat's life by giving them a home, food, toys, and water. My goal is to reach $1000 from your purchases to donate to Life Animal Shelter.
In Jewish customs you put your mezzuzah or Brickzuzah on the door frame and nail it in. It is customary for you to throw a party when you hang your mezzuzah. Custom says you have to clean it every 3 1/2 years. Your mezzuzah has to tilt into the room you are entering, if the door frame is too narrow then hang it straight up.
A parchment scroll inscribed on one side with the Biblical passages Deut. 6:4–9 and 11:13–21 and on the other side with the word Shaddai (a name applied to God), inserted in a small Brickzuzah or tube so that Shaddai is visible through an aperture in front, and attached by some Jews to the doorpost of the home. The goal of the Brickzuzah is to protect your home from physical and spiritual harm.
